Mandatory Covid-19 Safety Precautions

Provincetown Ghost Tours has been monitoring the coronavirus situation closely and acting on guidance from the CDC and local health officials. Our goal is on keeping our guests and guides safe.

PT Ghost Tours has implemented safety precautions suggested by town, state and federal guidelines.

Our goal is for every guest and employee to be safe and comfortable during our tour. We will require all our guests, office staff and guides to uphold and follow the law and community guidelines.

Our new guidelines are as follows:

FOR ALL EMPLOYEES:

FAce Coverings: All in-person workers are required to wear face masks throughout each shift. We will continue temperature-taking of each worker before every in-person shift.
Social Distancing: All in-person workers need to maintain six feet (6') of distance between themselves and others.
Sanitizing and Cleaning: All of us need to wash our hands properly and often and disinfect our workspaces and frequently touched surfaces properly and often-doing this will keep everyone safe.
Sanitize: We must all sanitize high touch areas, such as workstations, equipment, screens, doorknobs, and restrooms throughout our work site.
Feeling Sick?: Stay home. Call us. Call your doctor. Isolate yourself.

FOR TOUR GUIDE

All safety CDC protocols apply to staff and guides in and out of the office.
Guides must sanitize their hands before and after each tour.
All flash lightswill be sanitized immediately after each tour and put under UVC sanitation LIGHTS.
Guides will assure our customers keep to the social distancing rule of 6ft apart during our stops through out town.

FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

We do not have a restroom. The town public restrooms are nearby and will be open for you.
Hand sanitizing will be available for our guests and staff.
Flashlights will be sanitized after each use and exposed to UVC sanitizing lights ( which are a non-toxic safe way to disinfectant)
All guides and staff will be required to wear face coverings/masks during sales and travel. Guides will remove mask during presentations/ performance times only. And all guest will be required to stand at least 8ft from guide during that time.
All customers will be required to wear face coverings/masks on our property and during our tour. If you do not have a mask, we will have them for sale.
Please stand 6 ft from anyone not in your party before and during our tour.
Tours are priced per person. We will be limiting our tour sizes to the mass state outdoor gathering limit.
We will have distancing signs in and outside of our establishment and expect all staff and customers to follow this protocol.

Clean your hands often

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Visit the CDC's guide on handwashing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact

Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Put distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community. This is especially important for people who are at higher risk.

Cover coughs and sneezes

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
Throw used tissues in the trash.
Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Wear a face covering

The CDC recommends the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus, and help people who may have it, but don't know it, from transmitting it to others.

Clean and disinfect

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
If surfaces are dirty, clean them: Use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.

What to do if you feel sick

If you begin to develop symptoms, call a medical professional. You should also contact a doctor if you've had contact with a person known to have COVID-19, or if you live in or have recently traveled to an area with ongoing spread. Tell your healthcare professional about your recent travel or contact.
Your healthcare professional will work with your local state and province's public health department and CDC to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19.
Please stay home if you are sick. If you need to see a doctor, work with a medical professional to discuss transportation options. Per the CDC, if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspect you may have it, you should not use ridesharing, public transportation, or taxis.
